Obertauern

The ski region of Obertauern is famous for being Austria’s snow bowl. In a very favourable location, the region benefits from often perfect snow conditions with opportunities for snow sports from November to May each year. Obertauern offers many highlights but is best known for the Tauernrunde. Each of the 26 ski lifts are interconnecting meaning that you can ski the whole region with 100km of groomed piste and big deep snow slopes in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction and return to your starting point, a unique attraction in the Alpine world.
