A selection of cable cars and chair lifts run during the summer months, granting access to mountain summits for walking, hiking, bike riding and more. Operation days and times vary. Please note that lifts will not run during adverse weather conditions. Should there be a cancellation of service due to bad weather, a supplemental service will usually be announced.
Grosseck-Speiereck
The Grosseckbahn cable car is red in colour and travels from Mauterndorf Ski Center to the Grosseck summit station. At the top the Panorama Alm invites you to enjoy a small selection of refreshments in a sunny location with spectacular views of the valley below. A viewing station and play area can be found in the immediate vicinity and the location is a perfect starting point for exploring.
The base of the Grosseckbahn is also home to SmartyLand where numerous children’s activities and attractions are available. The Schi-Alm, a very popular restaurant and rest-spot is conveniently located directly by the lift.
The Sonnenbahn can be recognised by it’s bright yellow colour and travels from St Michael Ski Center, approximately 1km away, to the Speiereck summit station.
Within a short distance of the top station, the Peterbauern Alm waits to offer you a selection of refreshments before you set out on your adventure. Walking paths and bike routes are laid out in all directions - you can reach the top of Speiereck with a little effort and enjoy the views at 2200m above sea level.
At the foot of the Sonnenbahn, the Sonnzeit restaurant invites you to take a break in the sunshine and enjoy something from their fabulous menu.
Excepting adverse whether conditions, the Grosseckbahn is generally open daily during the summer months, with the Sonnenbahn offering more restricted operation times accross the season. Bikes, buggies and wheelchairs may be transported in either cable car for free.
Katschberg-Aineck
The Katschberg region offer you a summer ride up the mountain with their 3 person chair lift. The Aineckbahn can be found in Katschberg ski centre and travels to the top of the Aineck Mountain where you can explore the flat mountain top or wander back to the bottom. Refreshments and a rest-stop can be found at both the summit and the base stations of the chair lift.

Fanningberg
The Samsonbahn chair lift runs once a week during the summer months inviting you to explore the beautiful region of Fanningberg. Several alpine huts await your patronage. Buggies can be transported on the chair lift with no additional cost. The lift will not run in bad weather, in which case an alternative day of operation will be offered.

Obertauern
In Obertauern, the Grünwaldkopfbahn, a cable car, and the 4 person chair lift named the Hochalmbahn run daily in the summer months giving access to the walking, biking and hiking routes, mountain lakes, restaurants and many more activities.
