The snow-covered valley offers countless winter sports opportunities and is home to four different ski resorts with around 300 km of slopes in total, including extensive off-piste options. Winter Hiking
Lungau’s winter landscape has a special charm. A well-marked network of trails leads through snow-covered fields and forests. Whether winter walking, Nordic walking or snowshoe hiking, it’s the perfect way to unwind and recharge.

Tobogganing
Special toboggan runs can be found throughout the valley, ranging from short 200-metre tracks to the impressive 8.5 km Gamsstadl run at Fanningberg. Equipment rental and mountain huts are available at most locations. Night tobogganing on illuminated tracks is especially popular – a true family adventure.
